Lavinia looks fetching
in her aqua colored gown that features a
2 layered skirt.
Each layer is embellished with silver sequins
attached with French
knots in a floral design. The ruffled
over-skirt is cut
in to be short in front and gradually longer
toward the back.
We call this the hi-low skirt. The under-skirt or
column skirt is
hand-beaded near the hem with bugle beads in
aqua and chartreuse
to reflect the beading in the bodice and is
lined with aqua
bridal satin.
The incredible
hand-beaded bodice of Lavinia's gown has "spikes"
around the neckline
that are imitated in her hairstyle. Turquoise
and chartreuse
bugle beads with swimming pool blue and galvanized
silver seed beads
were utilized in the design. Lavinia's aqua chiffon
gloves are made
with the same fabric used in her skirt.
Lavinia's sultry
face is framed by her side-parted golden blond
hair that is upswept,
then twisted and spiked mocking the
beading on her
bodice. Her aqua and silver earrings were
designed to match
her incredible gown.
